PJ20 - It's all about the music and the fans

As a fan of Pearl Jam I was excited to watch PJ20.
Most of what I like nowadays in music, begun with them when I heard Yellow Ledbetter for the first time (still my favourite song), and therefore they are a huge influence to me.
While I watched the documentary, I remembered the bits of their story that came to us through the years (in the "old days" the information didn't came us that easy...), and it fitted right in.
Cameron Crowe does a very good job with all the backstage footage and interviews showing us the story of a band that started with Mother Love Bone and the death of his lead singer Andrew Wood, passing through the rivalry with Nirvana, the friendship with Soundgarden, the reluctance to make videos and being famous, the war with Tickemaster, the Roskilde tragedy.
It's a true, honest and raw vision, but sometimes it's almost like it didn't let's us in to their family and kept us at the door of their house.
Although they are incapable to retain a drummer, Pearl Jam where capable to endure 20 years as a band and hopefully they keep on going. "It's all about the music and their fans."
